POLICIES AND PROCEDURES


APPLICATION/ENROLLMENT

  1. Written Application forms must be completed and returned to the school office along with the Application Fee. This requirement applies to all students. Please see Tuition and Fees for current application fee. *If your child has an IEP/504 Plan, do not submit an application without review by the principal to ensure we can meet your child's needs. A parentally placed private school student with a disability does not have an individual right to receive some or all of the special education related services that the student would receive if enrolled in a public school under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), as amended.
  2. February 2024 begins open enrollment.
  3. Parents and applicants must be willing to be interviewed by the Principal and/or designated Admissions Team member. Transcripts must be provided before or at the time of interview. New students entering K5-12th grade can be tested if necessary. Please see Tuitions and Fees for current testing fee.
  4. Up-to-date student health records; which includes an official State of Florida Physical and a completed Florida Certification of Immunization, Department of Health Form 680, may be obtained through your physician or the Florida Department of Health. See Admissions Checklist
  5. The Administration requires an official Birth Certificate as evidence that the child has attained the age at which he or she should be admitted in accordance with the provision of Florida State Laws 232.02 and 232.04.
  6. ALL new applicants are required to provide recent report cards (1st-12th) and test scores (if applicable, 3rd-12th).
  7. Final decisions regarding acceptance will be determined by the school Administration.
  8. All students are accepted on a nine-week trial basis.
  9. All students who attend SCCA must read, sign, and cooperate with the written codes of honor, conduct, and dress code. Parents are also asked to sign the "Statement of Unity & Cooperation" which conveys to the school that you will be in unity and cooperate with the faculty/administration in seeing that standards of spiritual and social values are upheld. Parents and students that are believers of the Christian faith must agree with the "Statement of Faith" written in the handbook. Procedures for Reporting Misconduct

As a representative of St. Cloud Christian Academy, personnel and administrators must demonstrate and uphold standards of ethical conduct both inside and outside of the classroom. All instructional personnel, educational support employees, and administrators must attend annual training on the standard of ethical conduct. As an employee and a role model to students, instructional personnel, educational support employees, and administrators and administrators have a duty, at all times, to:

  • Immediately report known or suspected child abuse or neglect to the Florida Department of Children and Families Toll-Free Hotline (1-800-96-ABUSE)
  • Immediately report to the principal any alleged misconduct that affects the health, safety, or welfare of a student, by instructional personnel or educational support employees. Report misconduct by administrators to the Lead Pastor.
  • School personnel who fail to report misconduct of other school personnel that affect the health, safety, or welfare of students shall be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment and revocation of their Florida Educator Certificate (if applicable).
